We are looking for an engaged psychologist who wants to be part of the healthcare area in southern Karlstad with employment at Tullholmen Health Center.

Your Workplace

Tullholmen Health Center is the newest health center in Värmland, and we have about 25 employees. We call ourselves a training health center as we work with continuous supervision and development.

As a psychologist in the southern Karlstad healthcare area, you will have excellent opportunities to grow in your professional role. You will work cross-professionally with several professions and collaborate with both psychiatry and social services, which provides broad competence development and valuable experience in complex mental health issues. With colleagues both at the health center and throughout the area, you will naturally have access to a larger network, continuous knowledge exchange, and the opportunity to contribute to the development of primary care psychology work.

Your Responsibilities

As a psychologist with us, you will have a broad and meaningful role where you:

• Meet patients of all ages with mental health issues at the primary care level.
• Conduct evidence-based psychological treatment.
• Perform screenings for neuropsychiatric issues.
• Contribute clinical assessments for more complex mental health issues.
• Work cross-professionally and collaborate with, among others, psychiatry and social services.

You will become a much-anticipated colleague at Tullholmen Health Center and at the same time be part of a larger area where collegial support and development are a given.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and have experience in treatment work, both short and long interventions. You should have a good ability to work evidence-based, for example, with CBT, ACT, or other relevant methodologies. You have experience conducting diagnostic assessments, including structured interviews and standardized assessment tools. If you have previously worked in primary care, that is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You are comfortable working with complex issues, such as comorbidity, stress-related health issues, or anxiety and depression conditions. You enjoy working in a team but also independently. You contribute to a good atmosphere and want to be part of developing the future of primary care.
