Your Workplace

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is the region's specialist resource for children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental health issues and neuropsychiatric disabilities.

Together with other actors in the region, we have the mission to provide equitable, needs-based, and cost-effective care for children and young people and their families. Collaboration with families and other stakeholders such as schools and social services is a significant and important part of our work. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a large workplace with about 200 employees from various professional backgrounds. We work in interdisciplinary teams and take joint responsibility for the patients belonging to the team. We have the patient as a clear focus.

The entrance reception handles urgent visits and makes acute assessments of patients who come in via emergency referrals or calls to the emergency phone. Here we work during the day, Monday - Friday. We conduct new visits and make decisions about care levels and further interventions. The reception also includes the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry's counseling.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work with a varied patient group and contribute to making a positive difference in the lives of children and adolescents. With a focus on collaboration and professional development, we offer a stimulating and developing work environment.

The position is a temporary contract until 2027-08-30, with a chance of extension. If you are passionate about working in child and adolescent psychiatry and want to be part of our team, you are warmly welcome to apply for the temporary position with us at the entrance reception.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse and social worker, you are a very important part of the work that takes place in child and adolescent psychiatry. You will, both individually and in a team, meet children and young people with depression, anxiety issues, and neuropsychiatric disabilities, as well as their parents/caregivers. Additional issues such as self-harm, sleep difficulties, risk use, and psychosocial problems also occur.

You will work on assessing psychiatric needs in children and adolescents, which may also involve diagnosing in consultation with other professionals. You will conduct suicide risk assessments and safety planning during emergency visits and will also be responsible for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry's phone counseling and emergency phone.

We work interdisciplinary with nurses, social workers, psychologists, and doctors. As a new employee in child and adolescent psychiatry, you will receive a tailored individual introduction and good support from your colleagues.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse, trained social worker, and/or licensed health and medical care social worker.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Since travel may be included in the position, you need to have a valid driver's license (B license)!

It is an advantage if you have experience in psychiatry and social work with children and adolescents or have specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry or other health and medical care.
