The Elderly Sector in Kil Municipality is responsible for elderly care. The sector is also responsible for the execution of all municipal health and medical care, rehabilitation, memory teams, day activities, and support for relatives.

Description

If you enjoy challenges and are ready for a job with a lot of variation, we are now looking for summer substitutes and hourly substitutes for our nursing team in Kil Municipality.

The nursing team belongs to the unit Health, Care, and Interventions, where municipal rehabilitation, case managers, memory teams, support for relatives, and fee administrators also work. The team works specifically with short-term placements, special housing, home healthcare, ordinary housing, functional support, and social psychiatry. Here, you will be part of a skilled and professional nursing team that wants to welcome new colleagues in the best way. Nurses in home healthcare for ordinary and special housing, functional support, and social psychiatry operate from Kil town, where we have our shared offices and travel to patients' homes by walking, cycling, or using the municipality's cars.

Responsibilities

As a district nurse/nurse in home healthcare, your main responsibilities will be to manage health and medical care interventions. You will perform independent assessments, medical treatments, and nursing interventions for our patients. Daily work also includes preventive work to maintain health and well-being.

The job requires a great deal of flexibility in the daily planning structure. Patients' health and well-being can fluctuate and change rapidly, and prioritization becomes very important for daily work, and the day's work plan may need to be restructured quickly.

You enjoy planning and working independently but have a great ability to collaborate within the team and across professions. You can see solutions when obstacles arise. No two days are alike, but with good collaboration within the entire nursing team, we succeed together in our mission to provide health and medical care interventions to the citizens of Kil Municipality we are here for.

The position also includes delegating and mentoring care and support staff in health and medical care interventions and being a professional support to patients and relatives.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and nights. We are responsive to your wishes and create personal schedules where we can offer both day, evening, weekend, and night shifts based on the needs of the operation. You also have the opportunity to work both full-time or part-time with us.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you have completed further education to become a district nurse or specialize in elderly care and have experience from home healthcare.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
