About Us

The Mammography Department provides the residents of Södermanland access to high-quality breast diagnostics in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping. The department performs approximately 32,000 mammography screenings each year. The mammography department is part of the radiology clinic and operates throughout Södermanland. The clinical work, where you will be active, is based in Eskilstuna, but health checks are also conducted in Katrineholm and Nyköping. The workplace is characterized by a good atmosphere, cohesion, and collaboration, where we support each other and help out. The operations are conducted in brand new, beautifully designed facilities on the floor known as the Breast Center. Here, the surgical and radiology clinics work together to offer residents the best possible care, which means that the entire patient journey from investigation to diagnosis and follow-up is centralized, providing patients with security during the more challenging times in life. Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for a breast radiologist for our department at MSE. The responsibilities in Mammography include mammography screening with double reading by two breast radiologists and clinical investigations that constitute the majority of your position. As a senior physician in mammography, you will be responsible for independently investigating clinical patients using techniques such as tomosynthesis, ultrasound, and various types of biopsies, including stereotactic and tomosynthesis-guided vacuum biopsies. You will also perform preoperative indications for tumors, lead or participate in multidisciplinary conferences, and supervise resident physicians.

We value MR competence in applicants. You will have significant contact with patients and collaborate with other staff in the breast process. Your closest colleagues will consist of breast radiologists, radiology nurses/registered nurses, and administrative secretaries. Since you will work closely with your colleagues, it is important for us that you have good teamwork skills. We work in a shared RIS/PACS from Sectra.

Your Qualifications

You have a Swedish medical license and are a specialist in medical radiology with good knowledge in breast radiology; knowledge in MR is an advantage. We expect you to have good collaboration skills, be meticulous, and possess good clinical judgment. You see it as a given to take responsibility for the education of future colleagues. You have the ability to work independently but also enjoy collaborating in a smaller team. We place high demands on your willingness and motivation to perform your work in a high-quality and efficient manner and are looking for someone who can help maintain our high standards and contribute to the development of our operations. We place great importance on personal qualities.
