About us

The pain clinic in Sörmland is a well-established operation at Nyköping Hospital that has a regional outpatient service and is part of the rehabilitation medicine clinic. At the pain clinic, we work in teams with multimodal rehabilitation at a specialist level (MMR2). The goal of rehabilitation is to create conditions for patients with chronic pain to achieve lasting change that enables increased function, activity, and participation in society. We are now looking for a nurse for the pain clinic who can help continue to create and drive rehabilitation for people with chronic pain.

Your tasks

For us, teamwork is at the core of the operation. We have 2 teams staffed with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and psychologists. As a nurse, you will work as part of the team and be involved in all parts of the rehabilitation process from referral to treatment and follow-up. Rehabilitation can consist of everything from knowledge groups about chronic pain, health talks, acupuncture, mindfulness, family lectures, and group treatment aimed at pain management. The nurses work closely with the doctors on medical treatments (such as pain-relieving infusions, blocks, and treatment with capsaicin patches). In addition, they conduct medication follow-ups during initiation, further escalation, and tapering of medications, as well as advice and case management in TeleQ. You contribute with your professional expertise and make qualified assessments and treatments.

Your competence

We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in working in an outpatient clinic and who puts the person at the center. You are responsible and have a good ability to work in a team. You are a nurse with at least a couple of years of experience in the profession with an interest in pain and rehabilitation. Previous experience with patients with chronic pain is an advantage. Employment form

Permanent employment. Daytime, weekdays with flexible hours. Start date by agreement.
