We are looking for housing support workers for Kalvhagen and Skillnadsgatan

Do you want a developing job where you really make a difference? We are looking for several housing support workers for our teams in Lilla Edet. The positions vary in scope.

About Kalvhagen

Kalvhagen is a service residence according to LSS for people with autism or intellectual disabilities. Here, residents live in their own apartments with the opportunity for community in our cozy common area. The residence is located close to nature in Lilla Edet, within walking distance to the center and with good transport links to Trollhättan, Uddevalla, and Gothenburg.

About Skillnadsgatan

Skillnadsgatan is a group home according to LSS for people with autism or intellectual disabilities. Here, residents can choose to socialize in common areas or retreat to their own apartments. The residence is located in a quiet residential area close to both nature and community services. Each resident has their own apartment with a kitchen, bathroom, and terrace, as well as access to a garden, living room, and shared dining room.

Our working method

At both Kalvhagen and Skillnadsgatan, we work individually based on Nytida's framework for pedagogy, which is based on low-affect responses, clear pedagogical approaches, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). Together with each resident, we plan daily life based on the person's needs, strengths, and interests. Our goal is to create security, participation, and meaningfulness – and provide the best possible conditions for an independent and good life.

About the role

As a housing support worker, you provide support based on each individual's needs and wishes. You work with a pedagogical approach and contribute to a meaningful and content-rich everyday life. The work involves:

  • providing support in personal care, meals, and daily routines

  • motivating activity, participation, and development

  • supporting in community contacts and communication

  • documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

You work together with colleagues, group leaders, and operational managers who are close to the operations and provide support in daily work. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, or awake night shifts.

Your experience and personality

You have a high school education in healthcare and social services, or other equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish, computer skills, and experience in documentation. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with the target group, but the most important thing is that you have the right qualities – commitment, responsibility, and a positive outlook.

You thrive in a team, collaborate well, and always have our care recipients' best interests in focus. With us, you will receive support and the opportunity to grow in your professional role.

Our employees and our culture

With us, engaged colleagues work with education and experience in social care. Through our educational activities Lära, you will receive ongoing professional development, for example, in low-affect responses, motivational interviewing, and various diagnoses. At Nytida, we are in constant development. Our culture is based on the values of respect, responsibility, simplicity, and knowledge – they permeate everything we do.

What you get with us
  • Basic training upon permanent employment and continuous professional development through Lära
