Job Responsibilities

Do you want to contribute to ensuring that new social workers have a secure start and further enhance the competence within social services?

The Department of Children and Youth in the Social Administration Center is now looking for a social worker with special responsibility for introduction (introduction coordinator) who wants to coordinate the introduction to the profession of social worker and develop and continue to implement the work with Signs of Safety.

As an introduction coordinator, you will ensure that newly hired social workers have good conditions when they start their work with us, focusing on introducing and supporting new employees in their daily work.

In your role, you will, together with the other introduction coordinator, design, coordinate, and lead the department-wide introduction. You will also work to develop introduction programs aimed at all units within the department.

In the current role as an introduction coordinator, you will also have a method-supporting role based on Signs of Safety. You will support the implementation in practice and conduct internal training regarding Signs of Safety. You will regularly hold lectures and workshops and provide support in the working methods for all employees in the department.

Examples of tasks included in the role of introduction coordinator:

  • Coordinate regular and ongoing intro teams for newly hired social workers together with the current introduction coordinator
  • Plan and coordinate study visits within the department
  • Develop individual introduction plans for new employees
  • Continuously develop and update introduction materials for all units
  • Introduce new employees to the case management process
  • Participate in forums for method development, such as BBiC, LÖSA, Violence in close relationships, etc.

Examples of tasks included in the role as local method support in Signs of Safety:

  • Support managers and employees with practical implementation
  • Hold regular ambassador meetings
  • Conduct basic training in Signs of Safety for new employees
  • Conduct part of the introduction for new managers and supervisors

You will work across the entire department and alternate between the offices on Skånegatan, Storgatan, and Prinsgatan. Organizationally, you will belong to the Reception Unit and participate in the unit's APT and well-being days.

Since your task is to secure the introduction for new employees and provide method support, you will not have any own cases to handle.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and several years of experience in authority practice within Children and Youth. You have very good knowledge of all parts of the case management process and experience of what the professional role entails.

Knowledge of Signs of Safety is also a requirement; if you have experience as a BBiC trainer, that is considered an advantage. Previous experience as method support is an additional merit. Good knowledge of the documentation system Treserva is also a merit.

As a person, you have a humble and unpretentious attitude, patience, and enjoy working with others, both in groups and individually. You need to be pedagogical, able to share your knowledge, and enjoy teaching and guiding others. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and create conditions for learning to take place. You encourage participation and engagement.

You are structured, meticulous, and can juggle multiple tasks at once. We place great importance on your ability to collaborate and develop the introduction through environmental monitoring and engagement, as well as being responsive to the needs of individual employees. You take responsibility for your and the shared tasks with the best interests of the organization and individuals in focus. You also need to be stable and secure in such a way that you can balance the demands placed on you while being clear in your professional role. You act professionally and set boundaries when necessary.

Finally, you need to have the will and ability to contribute to a positive work climate. You should have good leadership qualities and an open, trust-building approach that inspires and develops others.
