Working as a personal assistant is a role that encompasses both joy and responsibility. Our operations within LSS include personal assistance, group homes, and short-term accommodations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute within personal assistance, you support individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. The tasks are adapted to the individual's needs and may include:

• Assisting with personal care, hygiene, and dressing
• Supporting during meals and simple cooking
• Creating social activities such as walks, conversations, and games
• Performing practical tasks such as laundry and cleaning
• Carrying out medical interventions on delegation from a nurse (training included)

You will receive a proper introduction at the workplace and support from an experienced colleague during your initial time.

Some interventions are performed according to the Health and Medical Services Act on delegation from a nurse. To be delegated, you will undergo training at the beginning of your employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Working in care and support requires commitment, responsibility, and flexibility. We are looking for someone who is attentive, curious, and enjoys working with people.

To work as a substitute with us, you need to:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have BankID
• Have sufficient knowledge of Swedish for documentation, medication delegation, and communication
• Be able to handle digital tools

Previous experience in care and support as well as knowledge of other languages is an advantage, but we place the greatest emphasis on personal suitability.

A driving license (B) is desirable.

OTHER

The municipality of Tjörn requests a criminal record extract in connection with this recruitment.

For certain professions within the municipality of Tjörn, an extract from the criminal record and/or a security check is required. For all positions within the social administration, an acceptable extract from the police's criminal record must be presented.

Visit the police's website to request an extract from the criminal record. This can be done digitally with e-identification or by filling out a form. Please note that processing time can be up to two weeks, so order the extract in good time.
