Manufacturing Engineer

Do you want to be part of developing the production processes of the future while working closely with operations, operators, and technology? We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for an assignment with one of our major automotive clients in Vara, who wants to take a central role in streamlining and improving their manufacturing processes.

In this role, you will work on-site in production and be an important link between technology, production, and operations — focusing on creating robust, efficient, and quality-assured processes. You will work both operationally and strategically with process improvements, production flows, technical investigations, and change management.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing production processes to ensure high efficiency and quality. You will work closely with operators, team leaders, technicians, and other support functions where you drive improvement work, analyze deviations, and ensure sustainable long-term solutions.

Your tasks include, among others:

  • Developing and improving production processes for increased efficiency, quality, and ergonomics
  • Creating layouts and work instructions and participating in the introduction of new methods, equipment, and tools
  • Working with root cause analyses, problem-solving, and driving improvement projects
  • Ensuring that processes comply with applicable standards, quality requirements, and safety procedures
  • Providing technical support to production and contributing to training and knowledge transfer

YOUR PROFILE

To succeed in this role, we see that you are communicative, structured, and thrive in a practical and solution-oriented environment with many contact points. You have an analytical mindset and are motivated to improve and develop processes.

We would like you to have:

  • An engineering degree in production, mechanical, industrial economics, or equivalent experience
  • At least two years of experience in production technology, process development, or a similar role in manufacturing
  • Experience working closely with production and being active in a fast-changing everyday environment
  • The ability to drive improvement work and take responsibility for your assignments independently
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English—both spoken and written

Meritorious:

  • Experience in production technology work within the industrial or automotive sector
  • Experience with LEAN, 5S, Kaizen, or other improvement methods
  • Experience with technical documentation and standards
