Property Manager for Upplands-Bro Municipality
In Upplands-Bro Municipality, we are about 2000 employees working to provide our residents and visitors with the best possible service and experience of the municipality. With us, you contribute to building a municipality where a holistic view, engagement, and professionalism permeate the organization, and together we work to fulfill the common societal mission.
Are you an experienced property manager focused on good relationships, long-term development, and sustainable solutions? Do you want to help build the future of property management in a growing municipality? Then this could be the right role for you!
Job Description
We are now looking for a driven and committed property manager for our property office.
Our goal is to provide suitable and well-maintained premises for our operations and tenants. As a property manager, you are responsible for ensuring that our properties and premises are in the best possible condition, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and that we work proactively with both operations, maintenance, and development.
Upplands-Bro Municipality took over all operational premises from its subsidiary in the spring of 2025 and has since built up a completely new office within the municipality's administration. You will play an important role in an exciting phase where we continue to build routines and processes in the new property office and implement new working methods for long-term and effective maintenance of the municipality's premises.
In your role as a property manager, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of property management with a focus on quality, efficiency, and sustainable development.
As a property manager, you will:
- Manage operational premises as well as some commercial space
- Have daily contact with tenants and contractors
- Be responsible for ongoing management issues and identify improvement opportunities
- Obtain quotes, place orders, and follow up on deliveries
- Plan and implement tenant adaptations and calculate new or additional rent
- Work with budgets, forecasts, and maintenance plans
- Participate in regulatory inspections such as OVK, lifting equipment, etc.
- Conduct property viewings and space optimization
- Carry out energy efficiency work
- Ensure a systematic fire protection effort
We are looking for someone who
- Has post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Has documented experience in property management, preferably from public or politically governed operations
- Is knowledgeable in property economics, rental law, and local supply
- Has experience in service and customer relations
- Is used to working independently, structured, and has a natural sense of responsibility
- Has a B driver's license and good computer skills
- Communicates fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
To thrive in this role, we see that you are a communicative person who finds it easy to collaborate and build trusting relationships with colleagues, tenants, and external actors. You work in a structured and organized manner, are used to taking responsibility, and drive your work forward independently. You have a strategic mindset, see the big picture, and can identify both challenges and opportunities. We also appreciate that you are solution-oriented, take initiative, and have a curious attitude towards development and improvements. Your ability to switch between operational tasks and long-term planning is important, as is your commitment to both people and properties.
About the Position
The position is a permanent employment. A probationary period may apply. Start date according to agreement.
About the Recruitment Process:
You can easily apply by attaching your CV, but without a cover letter. Instead, answer our selection questions. Selection is ongoing, and interviews will be held in Kungsängen or via Teams. Background checks will be conducted on the final candidate. The position may be filled before the application deadline, so submit your application today!
Welcome with your application, submit it no later than March 8.
Upplands-Bro Municipality is one of Sweden's most expansive municipalities where development is at the center. We welcome you to a workplace where the guiding principles in our work and approach are Holistic View, Engagement, and Professionalism.
