About the position
Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital is responsible for the care of children and adolescents up to 18 years old throughout the Stockholm Region. Children and adolescents with neurological diseases come to us at the pediatric neurology daycare for investigation and treatment from all over the country. We are now looking for a nurse for the Epilepsy Clinic, where you will follow children and adolescents with difficult-to-treat epilepsy and maintain close contact with the entire family during both physical and digital visits as well as via phone. As a nurse, you are part of the interdisciplinary team around the patient. In the role of nurse, you will coordinate epilepsy surgical investigations and examinations.
The Epilepsy Clinic collaborates with the neurology and orthopedics daycare on the 7th floor. In daycare, children and adolescents are treated for conditions including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, spinal muscular atrophy, cerebral palsy, and other neurological diseases.
We have a collaboration between different teams in the daycare unit, which creates good conditions for cooperation and development. With us, you will become part of our interdisciplinary team, characterized by broad competence and great development potential.
You will receive a permanent position within our nursing area with a placement at the Epilepsy Clinic in daycare.
The Epilepsy Clinic belongs to the nursing area of Highly Specialized Pediatric Medicine and Surgical Operations. Within this flow, there are several clinics and daycare units as well as an inpatient ward on the 10th floor.
The working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, daytime, and in the long term, it may be relevant to contribute to our 24/7 operations by working 2 weekend shifts per month.
We are looking for someone who
- has a burning interest in epilepsy care
- wants to work with children and adolescents, takes responsibility for their work, and seeks the information needed to achieve results.

- follows structure and planning but is also prepared to reassess based on the conditions present at any given moment
- collaborates to achieve common goals, helps colleagues, and takes initiative based on shared goals
- has a patient focus and shows respect for the patient, providing safe care characterized by openness and quality.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Swedish nursing license
Meritorious:
- Experience in epilepsy care
- Experience working with children
- Experience in daycare/clinic work
- Pediatric specialist training.
