We are looking for someone who is engaged, secure, and driven, who is passionate about the health of the elderly.

We offer

  • Working hours during weekdays.
  • We also have our own gym where you can train during your lunch or outside working hours.

Your role

You will cover the units where there is a need during the summer months and be important in the team around the resident in collaboration with the contact person, nurse, and physiotherapist. You will work individually but also have an important guiding role towards the staff group. In addition, all tasks that are common for occupational therapists in municipal elderly care:

  • Assess needs, perform and follow up occupational therapy interventions based on the occupational therapy process.
  • Assess needs, prescribe and follow up on assistive device needs.
  • Actively work in the fall prevention efforts at the unit.
  • Educate and instruct care staff on transfer techniques, assistive device management, and ergonomics.
  • Actively work to ensure that our target group can live as good and independent a life as possible, be active, participate in their daily lives, and engage in meaningful activities.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist with documented experience in elderly care. You must be secure in your professional role and easily adaptable to new work situations and routines, with the ability to work both independently and in a team. You will be part of a team with a physiotherapist in various units in the district where there is a need during the summer. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you have a pedagogical approach in your contact with residents, relatives, and other employees.

The city of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes in the city of Stockholm, you must provide a certificate from the criminal record. The certificate must not be older than 6 months from the date of issuance.
