Blomsterfonden is a non-profit organization that works to ensure that the elderly have a safe home, professional care, and meaningful daily life.

We run five senior residences with vibrant social communities, our own home care services, and four nursing homes where safe care is the focus. Our goal is to provide older people with a richer life – filled with community, care, and joy in life. Our work is permeated by our ethical values: humanity, participation, clarity, and honesty.

The association was founded in 1921 by Alma Hedin. Under her leadership, a special spirit emerged – the Blomsterfonden spirit – which still characterizes our operations today. We carry on Alma's work by cherishing what is at the core of every human life: to see the individual's capacity, will, and emotional life.

Blomsterfonden also actively works to support relatives. We organize and participate in various forums to spread knowledge about the needs and living conditions of the elderly.

Then you now have the opportunity to become part of our wonderful care team at Blomsterfonden's nursing home Saltsjösten in Fisksätra.

We warmly welcome you to apply for this permanent position of 100%. You who are applying should be a licensed occupational therapist, and we would like you to have further education and some years of experience in elderly care.

You will be part of our care team, which consists of an accessible operations manager, our group leaders who are also nurses, physiotherapist, activity leaders, and nursing assistants.

You will independently plan your daily work based on the needs of the organization. From a rehabilitative approach, you will conduct assessments and treatment work and support and stimulate our residents in their daily lives.

Your work includes performing ADL status, assessing needs, and prescribing personal care. Assessing conditions for activity and participation among residents and formulating goals based on health plans, as well as prescribing aids and alarms. Your role also includes planning, developing, and implementing daily activities for the residents together with the activity leader.

Your pedagogical skills will be valuable in collaboration with the physiotherapist in training/guiding care staff in rehabilitative and health-promoting approaches, fall prevention, handling aids, and training in transfer techniques.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for reporting risks and incidents in the care environment and taking measures to ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.

Qualifications

Licensed occupational therapist 180 credits. It is advantageous if you have further education in elderly care, such as the National Board of Health and Welfare's prescribing training. We would also like you to have knowledge/experience in change management and have participated in systematic quality and improvement work.

It is important that you master Swedish fluently in both speech and writing. The relevant knowledge level in Swedish is B2 and must be demonstrated upon employment. In addition, you should have good knowledge of Microsoft Office and commonly used systems within the area of responsibility.

Blomsterfonden applies individual salary setting. The workplace is covered by a collective agreement.
