Procurement Officer for Askersund Municipality
Do you want to work in a municipality where people, decisions, and results are closely connected? Where care and professionalism go hand in hand – and where your skills truly make an impact across the organization? Then you might be the procurement officer we are looking for.
With us, you will have a role that is both independent and social, structured and developmental. And yes – we dare to say that you will notice a difference here. It tends to be the case in smaller municipalities with big ambitions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a procurement officer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and following up on the municipality's procurements of goods, services, and contracts from needs analysis to contract follow-up. You will work according to LOU, but we promise that your workdays will not feel as bureaucratic as the law can sometimes be.
You will:
- Independently drive the entire procurement process from requirement specification and advertising to qualification, evaluation, awarding, and contract writing.
- Be a qualified support for managers and employees in all aspects of purchasing and procurement.
- Lead and coordinate procurements in project form together with the operations.
- Ensure that our procurements are conducted commercially, legally, and with good internal anchoring.
- Conduct training in procurement rules and procedures to spread knowledge and strengthen the organization's working methods.
- Be responsible for the municipality's insurance matters and be our contact person with insurance companies.
- Contribute to the development of methods and working practices through monitoring the external environment and updating legislative changes.
You will work within the municipal management administration and report to the CFO while collaborating broadly across the municipality.
QUALIFICATIONS
We believe you are the right person if you:
- Enjoy when structure meets care and when regulations are translated into practical, smart, and sustainable work.
- Are confident in your skills and thrive in a role where you can combine analysis with dialogue and where your working style creates both security and quality.
Have:
- A university degree in economics, law, or another relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Documented experience of independently conducting procurements.
- Good knowledge of LOU and good system proficiency.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
We would like you to be analytical, methodical, and self-driven, but at the same time a team player who builds relationships and creates trust.
