Digital solutions and innovations are crucial for meeting tomorrow's challenges in healthcare, and Region Västerbotten is at the forefront of this. We work closely with healthcare and have a strong relationship. We want to be a modern and flexible workplace with various skills to meet future needs. Currently, five operations are included in the area, and we are present throughout the county with operations at all three hospitals in Västerbotten. Internal Service in Lycksele is a unit within Region Västerbotten's Service Organization. About 50 employees work here, responsible for cleaning, waste sorting, logistics, reception, patient transport, staff housing, café, and catering. Our vision is to be the best service partner for healthcare.

We are now looking for the following summer temporary positions in our service operations

  • Cleaners
  • Transporters
  • Service Assistants
  • Staff for restaurant/cafeteria/kiosk, Lycksbaren, combined with work as a cold kitchen assistant

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an employee with us, you provide essential service and enable efforts that impact many. In your role, you play an important part in creating a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You provide service that enables the work of healthcare and contributes to the smooth operation of the organization every day. Working hours are varied, with shift work and weekend work possible.

The tasks vary depending on the position.

  • As a cleaner, you work with the daily cleaning of healthcare facilities, patient rooms, offices, and common areas. The job also includes floor care, window cleaning, and other more in-depth cleaning tasks as needed. You are responsible for ensuring hygiene routines are followed and that cleaning materials are handled correctly while collaborating closely with other service staff to maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant healthcare environment.
  • In the role of transporter, you are responsible for patient transport within the hospital area, where safety, interaction, and service are central. You also transport samples, materials, mail, and equipment between different departments and ensure that aids and transport trolleys are handled safely. The job involves continuous contact with healthcare staff to prioritize and execute urgent tasks when needed.
  • As a service assistant, you work with patient-related cleaning, replenishing materials, textiles, and consumables in departments, as well as managing waste sorting and disposal according to applicable routines. You support the operation with simpler logistics tasks and contribute to effective service in daily operations. The role also includes daily contact with both staff and visitors, where you create positive service interactions.
  • In Lycksbaren, you work on preparing and cooking simpler dishes, sandwiches, and baked goods in the cold kitchen. You handle cash and sales in the restaurant, cafeteria, and kiosk, creating a welcoming environment for guests through good service in daily work. The role also includes dishwashing, replenishment, and daily cleaning of work surfaces, as well as ensuring that operations are conducted according to applicable food and hygiene requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in cleaning, catering, or service is an advantage, as is a forklift license for those applying for the transporter position. We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. To follow instructions and routines, you must be able to speak, read, and write in Swedish. You take responsibility for your work and can easily organize and prioritize your tasks. Some computer skills are needed as digital systems are part of daily work. Personal suitability is highly valued.
