The Cleaning and Operations Service is responsible for cleaning in the municipality's premises, focusing on daily cleaning and planned maintenance.

We also offer operational services, internal mail handling, and caretaking. We have about 350 employees, and together we clean 510,000 square meters daily in schools, nursing homes, and other municipal premises.

The role of a cleaner

In this position, you will be part of the Cleaning Service Resource Team, which is a mobile and flexible workgroup that covers for short-term absences at the municipality's various cleaning sites. The team is an important part of the cleaning organization and works throughout the municipality. The workplace may vary from day to day depending on where the need is.

For us, cleaning is not just a job – it’s part of creating a better experience for those who spend time in our schools, preschools, nursing homes, sports halls, offices, and other municipal premises. Therefore, we are keen to continuously improve our cleaning methods and ensure that our employees have access to modern tools and cleaning systems.

Your tasks:

• Daily cleaning, planned deep cleaning, and floor care.
• Operating cleaning machines.
• Maintenance of cleaning equipment and machines.
• Ordering cleaning materials.
• Daily contact with people in the premises.
• Quality control of your own work to ensure we maintain good cleaning quality.

About you

We are looking for someone who likes order and wants to contribute to improvement. You enjoy working independently and collaborating with colleagues. If you have an eye for detail and like to work systematically, this is the job for you!

We want you to have:

• Experience in professional cleaning.
• Good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written to communicate and follow instructions, as well as basic knowledge of English.
• Basic computer skills.
• A valid driver's license (B).

It is an advantage if you have experience using cleaning machines, maintaining equipment, and performing floor care and window cleaning. Cleaning training through e.g. SRY, folk high school, or distance education (SRY = the service industry's vocational board) is also an advantage.
