Södralapplands Avfall & Vatten AB Waste Management Worker / Driver for Åsele

Södralapplands Avfall och Vatten AB is a municipal-owned operating company established in 2024, responsible for waste, water, and sewage in Dorotea and Åsele municipalities.

We consist of 30 employees. The Water and Sewage unit is responsible for the operation of waterworks and treatment plants. The Waste unit is responsible for the collection of municipal waste, sludge, hazardous waste, and the operation of recycling centers.

Job Responsibilities

As a Waste Management Worker / Driver at Södralapplands Avfall och Vatten AB, you will have an exciting and challenging job at the recycling centers, helping visitors sort and dispose of their waste correctly, along with other team members. You will also assist in the collection of municipal waste throughout the municipality with our own collection vehicles.

On-call duty will be part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, has a positive attitude towards helping others, and is seeking new challenges. It is important that you have a strong sense of service and a professional approach. You should also have good teamwork skills and appreciate the variation between independent work and collaboration.

Applicants must have at least a C driving license with a valid YKB and good experience driving trucks. Experience driving wheel loaders and training for vehicle-mounted cranes is an asset, but not a requirement.

You should have basic computer skills, be interested in technology, and be able to express yourself clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

We place great importance on personal qualities such as being self-driven, organized, and responsible. You need to be resilient under stress and enjoy working independently while also being a team player. In your driver role, you will meet customers daily, so it is essential to have a good sense of service.

Scope

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Permanent employment with a 6-month probation period.
