Bartender at O’Learys Växjö

About the role: As a bartender at O’Learys Växjö, you will be primarily responsible for serving guests in our bars. You will create and serve drinks based on guests' requests and provide them with a wonderful experience through friendly service and a hundred percent commitment. As a bartender, you will also assist with various aspects related to the restaurant such as serving, activities, dishwashing, etc., as needed. Together with the bar manager, you will be responsible for creating a pleasant and fun environment in the bars and driving and developing the bars forward to ensure they operate as optimally as possible!

Your responsibilities include:

• Receiving and quality-checking the goods delivered to the bar  

• Being responsible for preparing drinks ordered at the bar and following recipes  

• Serving bar guests with appropriate drinks and delivering friendly service to guests 

• Actively working on upselling to guests  

• Using measuring glasses for the spirits being poured 

• Following routines, checklists, and manuals for the bar  

• Keeping the bar area clean and tidy, including surfaces and equipment 

• Ensuring not to serve minors or guests who are overly intoxicated according to alcohol laws 

• Reporting overserving to the responsible person or security  

• Staying updated on new recipes and trends in the bar and implementing and adhering to these together with the bar manager  

• Assisting in other areas of the operation, such as dishwashing, serving, and at the gaming reception/bowling computer  

Desired experience and qualities:

• Experience in a service role, preferably from a restaurant/bar and cash handling experience  

• Relationship-building and enjoys working as part of a team  

• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and has good knowledge of English

• Flexible, service-minded, and attentive
