RESPONSIBILITIES

The Meal Organization is now looking for a cook for the kitchen at Lammhults School who is passionate about food and wants to provide good service. The workplace is a production kitchen responsible for meal services within schools, preschools, and elderly care. Seven employees work in the operation, planning, cooking, and distributing meals with a focus on quality, nutritional value, and good service.

The kitchen produces lunch daily for approximately 350 students from preschool class to grade 9 who eat in the school cafeteria. In addition, around 100 portions are prepared and sent to a nearby preschool. The operation also includes meal deliveries to elderly care, where approximately 40 portions are distributed daily for both lunch and dinner.

The work is fast-paced and involves physical labor, teamwork, as well as contact with students, educators, and care staff. The employees are jointly responsible for cooking, special diets, serving, dishwashing, cleaning, and following hygiene and food safety routines. The operation is characterized by a structured approach, clear division of responsibilities, and a common focus on creating safe, pleasant, and well-functioning meals for all target groups. The position also includes weekend work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for you with a cook's education, and secondarily for you with experience working in a large kitchen or with other kitchen training. We want you to have a strong interest in providing good service and a friendly attitude towards our customers. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as computer skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and expect you to be a good representative of Växjö Municipality.
