Job Advertisement: Nurse for the Medical Department at Lycksele Hospital

Lycksele Hospital is a moderately sized hospital in the Västerbotten inland, closely collaborating with primary care in southern Lapland and Norrland University Hospital.

The Medical Department at Lycksele Hospital is part of the Medical Center of Southern Lapland. Within the clinic, there is also a Rehabilitation and Stroke Unit, Dialysis Unit, Medical Outpatient Clinic, and Rehabilitation Unit. The department has a broad operation with 16 care places. The patient groups we care for primarily include cardiovascular, diabetes, respiratory diseases/conditions, gastrointestinal diseases, infections, kidney diseases, and multi-ill elderly. We also provide palliative care. We have relatively short hospital stays and work in teams. There is also a discharge coordinator who manages discharges and discharge planning.

We strive for a person-centered approach and close collaboration between the various professions in healthcare. To allow healthcare personnel to focus on patients, our workplace has functions such as receptionists, kitchen assistants, and discharge coordinators.

We offer you an individually tailored onboarding based on your needs and a mentor as a new employee. If you are newly graduated, you have the advantage of participating in the region's introductory year for nurses with regular meetings and training.

After completing your onboarding, you will have the opportunity to work according to a modified 3-3 work schedule.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe and involved.

The focus of the medical department is general internal medicine, and with us, you will find a wide variety of medical conditions, such as in cardiology, respiratory diseases, infections, and diabetes. The team also includes nursing assistants, doctors, receptionists, discharge coordinators, dietitians, social workers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.

You will be part of an engaged and competent team where nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, dietitians, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, receptionists, discharge coordinators, and kitchen assistants collaborate to provide the best possible care.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed nurse with a genuine interest in medical care. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. You are curious about the advantages of a smaller hospital and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You have an easy time communicating, prioritizing, and managing varying tasks.

Previous experience in emergency care and departmental work is meritorious but not a requirement. You share our vision: Good care with gentle hands, sharp minds, and warm hearts.
