The National Board of Recruitment and Assessment is opening a new assessment office in Umeå in the autumn of 2026, and we are looking for 7 nurses who want to help build the operation from the ground up.

The office will be centrally located in newly renovated premises next to the Ume River.

At the medical assessment unit in Umeå, specialists, psychologists, nurses, and administrators work together with our case handlers. Together, we work towards common goals, where we take responsibility for our own work and for each other.

As a nurse with us, you will work with healthy individuals and conduct medical examinations, assessments, and selections for professions and education with specific suitability requirements. The work is independent, varied, and characterized by quality, legal certainty, and professionalism.

Your tasks

In the role of nurse

• you will conduct health examinations on candidates for education and employment within the Armed Forces and the Police Authority, as well as with other clients.
• you will work independently based on our given methods and guidelines, while your efforts are part of a common assessment chain.

It is important that you enjoy structured work content and methods as part of a joint mission.

Our working methods are based on scientific principles and proven experience, which means that we make selections with high quality to ensure the right person in the right place with the right responsibilities.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you

• who are a nurse with a license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare
• with several years of experience in clinical work in a patient-centered environment

Your personal qualities

You are a person with maturity and inner stability. You have a good ability to adapt to changing situations and can handle unpredictability in a calm and structured manner. You demonstrate good judgment even under pressure and take responsibility for your actions.

You collaborate well with others by listening, communicating clearly, and contributing to a functioning group dynamic. At the same time, you can act independently when the situation requires it. You have empathy and understanding for other people, but you can also make decisions with objectivity and balance. You work meticulously and strive for quality in what you do.

About the employment

We offer you a permanent position that begins with a probationary period.

Due to the nature of the operation, you cannot work from home, but we hope that this can instead contribute to a clearer division between work and leisure. We offer you at least 28 days of vacation up to 35 days depending on age. You also have the opportunity to train for 2 hours during work hours per week and are offered a favorable wellness allowance.
