About Us

The Nephrology Clinic in Nyköping is at the forefront of caring for patients with kidney diseases and is eager to continue developing this.

In Nyköping, there is a nephrology and dialysis clinic with about 25 patients on HD and 20 on PD, and we have a nephrology clinic that follows up on patients with kidney failure, various kidney diseases, and transplant patients. The nephrology clinic includes a day care unit where we provide intravenous treatments and where patients are cared for during the day, for example, in connection with kidney biopsies.

Our kidney and dialysis patients are admitted to the medical ward if needed. We have good staffing with experienced nephrology and dialysis nurses. In recent years, we have successfully built the operation from being a very small unit to a virtually complete unit where the only thing we really lack is vascular surgical competence; patients have to travel to Eskilstuna for access surgery.

We have a very close collaboration with the nephrology and dialysis unit at Kullbergska Hospital and good cooperation with nephrology at the regional hospital in Eskilstuna. We currently have two nephrologists who both work part-time and a resident physician who will be a nephrologist in a couple of years.

The Medical Clinic in Nyköping is a relatively large and very well-functioning clinic. We have a medical intermediate care unit (MIMA), a shared emergency care unit, and two own medical wards. Many at the clinic are interested in development work, and we are constantly working to improve care, for example, through wise clinical choices and hospital at home. We have well-functioning teams with subspecialists in all internal medicine specialties.

You are a nephrologist who wishes for a broad practice. We would like you to be interested in quality and improvement work.

Your Competence

You are a licensed specialist physician in nephrology and preferably also internal medicine. We place great emphasis on personal qualities, social competence, and teamwork.
