Development Leader for the Finance Department

Finance Department
The Finance Department at the Department of Technology and Community Development consists of four employees and a manager.
The function has the overall responsibility for the department's financial planning and follow-up. Here you will also find Region Gotland's local supply strategist responsible for the local supply process and a business developer focused on sustainability. We are now looking for a development leader who will enhance the department's capabilities regarding external financing, project development, coordination of development needs and initiatives, as well as support for development projects.
Your Responsibilities
The development leader will drive issues related to identifying and seeking external financing for development projects within the entire community building process in Gotland. The role will be responsible for establishing and managing the department's portfolio of externally funded projects to create a qualitative whole.
The Department of Technology and Community Development also sees a need to develop its international work. Both by systematically monitoring new initiatives and opportunities within the EU, but also by sharing knowledge, initiating development, and enhancing the department's ability to participate in international contexts.
The position will also include project and process management of larger and smaller development initiatives, as well as ongoing evaluations and learning efforts. The role will work closely with the department's management team and will serve as the department's representative in relevant networks and other contexts.
The position involves both strategic and operational work and will operate both internally and externally in collaboration with business, academia, government funders, and other national actors.
The position is located in the department's finance department.
Who Are You?
To be considered for the position, you have a relevant academic degree, and it is an advantage if you have completed leadership training. You have several years of experience working in the public sector, where you have both operationally and strategically led projects, driven development initiatives, and conducted evaluations. Knowledge of EU funding, international relations, and collaboration with global actors is a strong plus. We also value experience in business development within public administration, preferably with a focus on community building issues.

As a relationship builder, you create and maintain networks and communicate so that the message is always clear and follow-up occurs.
