Controller in Finance for Healthcare in Region Gotland

Administrative Support and Finance

The Administrative Support and Finance unit is part of the administrative office that works together with the entire healthcare system on various issues.

The unit comprises nine roles working in different areas such as finance, law, insurance medicine, accessibility to care, operational planning and follow-ups, surveys, and operational development, among others. The unit's broad mandate contributes to the employees' deep understanding of and insight into the work within healthcare in Gotland.

Your Responsibilities

With us, you will play an important role where you will work with ongoing tasks such as follow-ups, year-end closing work, forecasting, and budgeting, among others. You will be responsible for the finances related to out-of-region care, which includes supporting operations and other controllers in these matters, as well as having budget responsibility for certain out-of-region care.

You will be responsible for preparing documentation for pricing of care and handling patient fees. In your work, you will have contact with and collaborate with other regions and serve as expert support to the operations in these matters.

At a broader level, you will analyze data to derive insights that can be transformed into, for example, understanding, efficiencies, and improvements.

Together with the finance manager, you will oversee various financial processes for healthcare. You will also support the finance manager with your expertise in several other matters and, if necessary, step in for the finance manager.

As we are a small region, this means a wide range of roles where tasks change and are added continuously, which also means that the role encompasses more than what is described above.

Who Are You?

You who are applying have an academic degree in finance.

You are used to taking responsibility for your tasks and finding work structures that suit you and those you work with. Your collaboration with colleagues is characterized by a responsive and flexible working style that results in good cooperation and strong relationships.

We believe you are goal-driven and focus on results in everything from financial outcomes to operational performance. You have no problem reprioritizing when needs arise.

You have several years of experience working with year-end closing, forecasting, and budgeting. You have excellent skills in Excel and experience working with financial systems and BI systems.

You are a good communicator who can explain and create understanding of complex financial data for everyone from management teams to non-financial professionals.

The tasks associated with the role require that you have good knowledge of and experience working within or with healthcare.
