At Perido, we are now looking for a project economist/accounting economist for our client, a modern and value-driven educational institution characterized by openness, development, and close collaboration among employees. Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will work daily in various financial systems and handle accounting, bookkeeping, and financial issues related to the organization's projects. You will participate in budget work and produce financial calculations, reports, and analyze and follow up on projects. The work also includes performing reconciliations, troubleshooting, and controls.

Main Responsibilities:

• Participate in work with budgets, forecasts, and year-end accounts
• Support projects with the financial part of applications, follow-ups, and reporting
• Stay updated on the requirements and regulations of research funders regarding finance and accounting in current projects
• Support projects to ensure that costs remain within given frameworks

Your Qualities

In this role, being meticulous and structured is very beneficial, as the work requires both precision and an eye for detail. The role often involves many parallel tasks and deadlines, making good organizational skills and an efficient working method important. It is also an advantage to be analytical and able to see connections in financial flows to detect deviations and contribute valuable insights. Since the position often involves collaboration with colleagues and other departments, communication skills and a service-oriented attitude are significant.

Qualifications:

• University degree in finance or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience in a similar role. Alternatively, high school or equivalent education in the relevant field and five (5) years of work experience as an accounting economist
• Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• Good knowledge of common accounting systems (e.g., Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
• Experience in governmental accounting
• Experience in project accounting and project agreements
• Ability to communicate fluently in spoken and written Swedish

Scope and Start Date

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2026-07-10. Immediate start.
