Scandic Göteborg Central, located in a new district emerging in the former container port, right by the bridgehead of the new Hisingsbron and just a stone's throw from the Central Station. The hotel is one of Scandic's largest with its 451 rooms and a large conference department. The hotel features a lobby bar, café, and a lovely Roof Top bar and restaurant with views over Gothenburg's harbor entrance. An exciting hotel inspired by corners of the world, where the feeling and pulse of the harbor district and the city outside together create a vibrant and personal atmosphere. We are now looking for you who want to work as a receptionist here with us at Scandic Göteborg Central.

What does the role entail?
As a receptionist, you are responsible for ensuring our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web who ensures that the guest is always the focus. You go through the arrival list and pay attention to the details. You ensure that the guest's wishes are fulfilled. You always have a smile on your face and a creative solution up your sleeve. You solve most issues and are a star at turning an unhappy guest into a satisfied one. Your workplace is our lobby, as that is where you meet the most guests. Your responsibilities also include administrative work, security tasks, and sales work.
The work in the reception involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing the information they need about their stay. You manage bookings in the Opera Cloud system and handle administrative tasks related to guests and security. All work is done with guest satisfaction and sales in focus.
The hotel is open 24/7, so it is important that you enjoy working shifts (mornings, afternoons, and weekends).
Who are you?
To fit in this role, we believe you have a well-developed social ability and can handle many different things happening at once. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests.
You also have experience and knowledge in working with a computer as a work tool.
Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, it is an advantage.
However, your personal qualities and attitude are the most important. To fit in the role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.
The position is a one-year temporary contract starting no later than April 1, 2026.
