The Organization

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities is one of two units within the Agency for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities. The unit is led by two unit managers, four team leaders who oversee three teams of LSS caseworkers. Additionally, there are two contact secretaries, two contract coordinators, and two care level caseworkers within the unit. We are now looking for an LSS caseworker to join one of the teams.

Your Responsibilities

Working as an LSS caseworker within the Agency for Persons with Disabilities involves tasks such as case management, investigation, and decision-making according to the Social Services Act and LSS.
As an LSS caseworker with us, you will focus on investigative work and meeting with individuals, which can take place both at home, at service providers, or during a visit to our office. You are expected to collaborate and cooperate with other units within the municipality as well as with external partners. You are also expected to work with colleagues and the unit manager to develop the operations. In your work, you will encounter people with diverse backgrounds and needs daily, and therefore you should be confident, empathetic, attentive, and flexible.

Who are you?

You are resilient, flexible in thought and action, have good collaboration skills while being independent and proactive. You are good at structure and planning and can manage demands from your surroundings while completing your assignments.

Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work, Law, or other university or college education deemed equivalent by the employer
- B driver's license
- Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, with good documentation skills

Meritorious:
- Case management within an authority
- Experience in public administration and working in a politically governed organization
- Familiarity with the operational system Combine
- As Södertälje is a Finnish administrative area, proficiency in Finnish, both spoken and written, is an advantage.
