Permanent employment, 1 position, start date by agreement. Full-time.

Unit Description

The short-term home is located in Huddinge Municipality and is situated in a residential area in central Huddinge. The operation provides short-term stays according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) for the target group of children and young people belonging to group 1.

Currently, a development project is underway in the operation, aimed at increasing the well-being of users through a greater focus on pedagogy and methods.

About the Work

The staff group in the operation consists of nine employees, working as support assistants, housing supporters, or team leaders. As a support pedagogue, you will play an important role with us. You provide support by motivating and being a role model in the daily pedagogical work of the operation. Together with other staff members, you plan and implement the operation's assignments based on each individual user's conditions, in a way that enables increased independence, self-determination, and participation for each individual.

In the role of support pedagogue, you should be able to support, guide, and inspire other staff members in the pedagogical development of the unit, as well as drive and implement evidence-based methods in daily work. You ensure that the work with pedagogy and methods is planned, documented, and followed up continuously. As a support pedagogue, it is important that you can document well and have the ability to support your colleagues in how to plan quality support for the users. You are expected to be a positive and driving force who wants to develop the unit in accordance with what is intended within LSS. As support in your work, you will regularly meet with the method developer in the disability area together with other support pedagogues, and have ongoing check-ins with the unit manager and a support pedagogue colleague from a similar operation.

The position involves work during the day, evenings, and every other weekend.

Your Profile

We are looking for an engaged support pedagogue with relevant education for the target group. You should have education as a support pedagogue equivalent to 200 vocational college credits or at least 60 university credits in a relevant educational field.

You should have knowledge and experience of working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, as well as experience with clear pedagogical methods/ACC (Alternative Augmentative Communication). You master Swedish well in both speech and writing and have good computer skills. We also prefer that you have experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors. Since outwardly aggressive behaviors occur in the operation, you need to have the ability to respond to this in a professional and preventive manner to minimize these situations.

We are looking for someone who is structured and responsible. You see opportunities, are self-driven, attentive, adaptable, and have the ability to choose strategies based on different situations. You have an unpretentious approach and good collaboration skills, and a desire to continuously develop in your professional role. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
