The Habilitation Clinic for Children and Young People 1 Malmö is part of the administration of Psychiatry, habilitation, and aids. Our operations are aimed at children and young people with permanent disabilities up to 17 years of age and their families. The children and young people may have mobility impairments, intellectual disabilities, and/or autism. In our unit, we have a special responsibility for patients with spina bifida.

In the unit, we work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of medical, psychosocial, and educational expertise. Together with children, parents, and networks, we create the child's planning, and based on this, we provide interventions to the child and family. With great commitment and broad competence, we work every day to get closer to our vision that people with disabilities should be able to live a good life based on their own choices. We have a salutogenic approach, which means that everything we do should be meaningful, understandable, and manageable. This perspective permeates our entire operation, not only in our interactions with our patients but in all parts of the operation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer you a workplace with present leadership and colleagues who care about good collaboration and a strong sense of community. Here you will have tasks that are varied and developing, as well as the opportunity to participate in our development and change work.

As a psychologist with us, you will work to provide support, advice, guidance, and treatment to children, young people, and parents. Interventions are provided individually and/or in groups at the habilitation, at home, in preschool/school, and via video calls. Furthermore, you will participate in planning interventions together with children, young people, and families, as well as their networks.

You will conduct psychological assessments and investigations and collaborate with other actors, such as preschools/schools and social services. We also have a close collaboration with other actors, such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. As a new employee with us, you will receive a thorough introduction, both to the workplace and in the work. You will also have a supervisor who guides you during the introduction.

Your working hours are scheduled on weekdays during the day:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Tuesdays: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Fridays: 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed psychologist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish that at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with children and young people with autism, mobility impairments, or intellectual disabilities. It is also beneficial if you have experience with cognitive assessments and working in PMO, Pasis, and Microsoft Office.

To thrive with us and succeed in the role, we see that you have good collaboration skills with an interest in working in interdisciplinary teams and collaborating across professional boundaries. You are confident in your professional role and can plan, structure, and organize your work independently. Furthermore, you are willing to take your own initiatives and are flexible in your approach towards both patients and colleagues. You are accustomed to working with various IT systems, and since we now provide many interventions digitally, it is also important that you are open to digital healthcare contacts. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
