Who are we?

Approximately five percent of patients who survive intensive care remain in the ICU for an extended period because they are too ill to progress in the care chain. This is where Remeo comes in. The Remeo concept is a specially developed form of care for long-term critically ill patients. We offer high-quality and high-tech care and rehabilitation outside the traditional hospital environment. Starting from intensive/intermediate care, we create an individual care plan for each patient, where rehabilitation and care go hand in hand from day one.

What will you do?

Your tasks will include assessment/training of ADL, hand function, cognitive function assessment, assistive device trials, participation in care planning, home visits, and conventional neurological rehabilitation, among others.

The paramedical group consists of physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, and we are now looking for an additional occupational therapist for our intensive care rehabilitation.

The clinic currently has 14 patients and focuses on respiratory support in the form of oxygen, tracheostomy, invasive and non-invasive ventilation combined with daily intensive training. Remeo is under development, and expansion is ongoing to increase the number of care places.

Who are you?

Education and experience

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. Experience in inpatient care and/or neurological rehabilitation is a merit.

Personal qualities

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and our focus is on your understanding of the patient's needs in a rehabilitation-oriented and dignified care process. You have experience in multiprofessional team-based care and rehabilitation, which requires high flexibility and collaboration skills. Furthermore, you are also independent, curious, and have your own drive.

What is the best part of working with us?

You will contribute to the development of Remeo's highly specialized care concept for long-term critically ill patients. You will receive thorough onboarding and ongoing training. We offer collective agreements, ITP occupational pension, wellness grants, and other benefits. There are good opportunities for increased responsibility and further development, both clinically and academically.

About Remeo

Remeo's employees make all the difference

Since its inception in 2013, Remeo has developed into a competence center for weaning from ventilators, decannulation, and intensive care rehabilitation, and we also participate in the care chain for national highly specialized care for spinal cord injuries. During the time the clinic has existed, a unique competence has been built up. We work in multiprofessional care teams where everyone contributes their specific knowledge and experience to ensure that the patient receives safe and secure care and rehabilitation. A strong sense of community is part of Remeo's care concept.

Read here about all the different competencies in the team that collaborate around the patient.

Our patients

About 2/3 of our patients are referred from Stockholm's healthcare, while about 1/3 are referred from the rest of Sweden. The typical patient is very fragile after a long period in intensive care, and often there are several complicating diseases in the background.

Beautiful and modern environment

The clinic is located in scenic surroundings in Stora Sköndal by Drevviken and currently has space for 14 patients. The facilities and equipment are designed to provide modern healthcare in an inviting, cozy environment with opportunities for training, outdoor activities, and socializing with relatives.
