Main Responsibilities and Tasks

The Pediatric Dentistry Specialist Clinic in Skövde is part of the Specialist Dental Care jointly in Skövde and belongs to Folktandvården Västra Götaland.

Our facilities are located at Skaraborg Hospital (SkaS) in Skövde. We receive patients who have been referred from colleagues in Folktandvården, private dental care, and from the health and medical services. Always with a professional approach and high competence. The operations include consultations, work at the clinic and under anesthesia, collaboration in various care chains, and competence enhancement of dental care personnel. All other specialties in dentistry are available in Skövde, both within Folktandvården and SkaS. The Specialist Dental Care jointly in Skövde also includes specialties such as dental physiology, endodontics, oral prosthetics, orofacial medicine, and periodontology. Currently, about 50 employees work with us, of which eight are in pediatric dentistry: four dental nurses, one dental hygienist, and three specialist dentists.

The responsibilities of the specialist dentist include providing high-quality care to referred patients, offering support to caregivers in the form of consultations and training. If interested, there is an opportunity to conduct research or development projects in agreement with the clinic manager.

We are a wonderful team working together in an open climate with a great team spirit. You will have good colleagues who are always close by for consultations and therapy discussions. We also have close proximity to and good collaboration with the oral surgeon.

Qualifications

Specialist degree in Pediatric Dentistry. ST dentists at the end of their training are also welcome to apply.

You have good collaboration skills, a flexible approach, the ability to build trust, and can therefore meet our patients with both interest and professionalism. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
