I am a 17-year-old boy looking for a personal assistant who can support me in all aspects of my daily life.

I have autism and am non-verbal, which means I need help with most things – from daily routines and communication to various activities.

The role is about more than just hanging out; you will be an important support for me in my daily structure and security.

A large part of the job involves interpreting and understanding my communication, both directly with me and when I communicate with others. You need to be able to interpret sounds, body language, facial expressions, and use signs to create a functioning dialogue.

I enjoy playing video games, sitting at the computer, having coffee, watching movies, taking walks, listening to music, being in the woods, and grilling. In the summer, I like to be at the beach, swim, and bike. If you share some of these interests, it will be extra fun for both of us.

You who are applying:

• Must have experience working with people with autism.
• Must have knowledge of non-verbal communication and be able to use signs as support.
• Have patience and can meet me in a low-arousal manner.

Requirements:

• A driver's license is a must since there is no public transport nearby.
• You must not be allergic as there are animals in the home and on the property.

About the position: You will start with a part-time employment that can transition into a regular schedule if everything feels right. Flexibility is important – working hours and needs may vary, so you need to be able to adapt to changes.
