Sabbatsbergsbyn is a special accommodation with 106 apartments distributed across three buildings.

Nine departments are residences for those with a diagnosed dementia disease, and two departments are for those who, for physical reasons, require care and assistance around the clock. Sabbatsbergsbyn is located in the inner city of Stockholm between S:t Eriksplan and Odenplan. It is a central nursing home in Vasastan with lush areas around it. In the Garden of the Senses, we meet for barbecues, gymnastics, entertainment, and coffee breaks. We are now looking for temporary nursing assistants for the department with a somatic focus and the department with a dementia focus.

Your role

As a nursing assistant, you will provide good care, social support, and service measures to the elderly according to decisions made by the assistance officer. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional ability and assist with their social contacts. You will be responsible for ensuring that the elderly can participate in various activities and receive stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering them opportunities for outdoor activities. You will have contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and social documentation. You need to follow the routines and regulations that exist in the workplace. The position involves work during days, evenings, and weekends.

Your qualifications and experience

You should have:

• Protected professional title as a nursing assistant or have started the process for this.
• At least 1-3 years of experience in elderly care
• Good experience in documentation
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing

It is an advantage:

• Work experience with dementia in elderly care.

We are looking for someone who has a professional approach towards clients, relatives, and colleagues. Since you will have a lot of contact with people, it is important that you have good cooperation skills and pronounced empathy. We are looking for someone who also takes great responsibility in their work and is very meticulous.

To work with the City of Stockholm with the elderly and persons with disabilities in their homes, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract should not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
