Our Operations

The Psychiatry Department 4A has eleven beds and provides round-the-clock care focusing on addiction and psychiatric comorbidity. Patients come through the emergency department for adult psychiatry or through planned admissions from outpatient care.

We are part of the section for addiction and neuropsychiatry and work evidence-based with a strong foundation in care development and research. The team consists of nurses, caregivers, clinical pharmacists, doctors, and social workers. We collaborate closely with other specialist functions to meet each patient's individual needs.

Your Mission

As a nurse in round-the-clock care, you play a central role in the patient's recovery process. You:

• Assess, plan, and follow up on nursing interventions
• Are responsible for medication management and documentation
• Collaborate with outpatient care, other providers, and relatives
• Contribute to the team's development and mentor new colleagues

At night, you work in a calmer environment with greater independence, where your clinical insight and ability to prioritize are crucial. At the same time, you always have support from colleagues and on-call doctors.

Your Qualifications

• Licensed nurse
• Experience in psychiatric care is an advantage
• Specialist nurse training is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in psychiatric nursing who wants to contribute to the continued development of the organization.

You are secure, responsible, and have good collaboration skills. At the same time, you are independent, structured, and thrive in a role where you need to make your own decisions. You have a professional and respectful approach towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. Personal suitability is highly valued.

We Offer

• Permanent full-time employment
• Mainly night shifts, including some weekends
• Individually tailored introduction of about five weeks

The current basic need of the organization concerns night shifts, and the position is therefore currently focused on night work. However, the employment is within round-the-clock care, which means that work during all hours of the day may become relevant over time. There is also the possibility of rotational shifts (day, evening, and night) for those who wish, in dialogue with the organization and based on its needs.
