Our Operations

The Affective Reception 3 is an outpatient clinic within specialist psychiatry in Uppsala. Our target group is people over 25 years old with one or more of the diagnoses bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and neuropsychiatric disabilities. We work in multiprofessional teams, and our goal is to have clear and concrete treatment guidelines as well as good flows for all patient groups.

Your Mission

The purpose of PTP (practical training for psychologists) is for the psychologist to begin their development towards a professional identity by applying the knowledge provided by the psychology education. PTP provides practice and in-depth knowledge in the psychology profession and its various areas of responsibility and competence within an organization. By practicing the knowledge in practical psychological work under supervision, conditions are created for professional work in an independent position. All PTP psychologists within the field of psychiatry are offered to participate in a PTP program. The program consists of seminar series and study visits in various areas and operations within and outside the field of psychiatry. Time and opportunity are provided for reflection and experience exchange within the PTP group.

PTP training within Akademiska sjukhuset in Uppsala is conducted according to the guidelines of the National Board of Health and Welfare. The training includes both individual patient work and other psychological work.

As a PTP with us, you have a varied and meaningful mission. Like the rest of the psychology group, you make assessments, investigations, and conduct psychological treatment both individually and in groups. You have close collaboration with the rest of the team in patient work and actively participate in the development work of the reception. You have regular supervision and always have access to collegial guidance.

Your Qualifications

You have a degree from the psychology program with basic psychotherapy training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). You enjoy working in a team, are positive, engaged, and want to contribute to the development of the reception's work and routines in a positive way. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who easily adapts to changing circumstances and sees opportunities in changes. You remain calm and controlled under stress or in pressured situations and focus on the right things. You stay motivated and keep working, even when obstacles arise, until projects are completed or results are achieved. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively within set deadlines.

We Offer

We offer a fixed-term employment for one year starting from 2026-09-01 or by agreement. Work at the reception is conducted Monday to Friday during daytime without weekends.
