Our Operations

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry section targets children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. The section includes both outpatient and inpatient care. We are now looking for three PTP psychologists for BUP-start.

Your Mission

The purpose of practical training for psychologists (PTP) is for the psychologist to begin their development towards a professional identity by applying the knowledge provided by their psychology education. PTP provides practice and in-depth knowledge in the psychology profession and its various areas of responsibility and competence within an organization. By applying knowledge in practical psychological work under supervision, conditions are created for professional practice in an independent position. All PTP psychologists within the field of psychiatry are offered to participate in a PTP program. The program is led by the PTP study director and consists of seminar series and study visits in various areas and operations within and outside the field of psychiatry. Time is allocated for reflection and experience exchange within the PTP group. The program also includes workplace follow-ups aimed at ensuring the quality of the PTP training. PTP training at Akademiska sjukhuset in Uppsala is conducted according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines.

The training includes both individual patient work and other psychological work such as preventive work, counseling, and development work. We are looking for three PTP psychologists for BUP-start. The training includes assessment and investigation, individual patient work, as well as group treatment and development work.

Your Qualifications

We see that you have a degree in psychology. Experience working with children and adolescents is an advantage.

Your Competence

You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively within set time frames. You work well with others, are attentive, and resolve conflicts constructively. The ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation is something we desire. You communicate articulately and engagingly in various contexts, listen actively, and are receptive to the other party, as well as adapting the way you convey your message to the recipient based on their ability to absorb knowledge.
