Our Operations

Ward 30E has 25 beds where we care for internal medicine patients, predominantly with cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure, aortic diseases, high blood pressure, and venous thrombosis. We have eight telemetry beds for heart monitoring. The medicine department is staffed every day and at all times of the day. Being a nursing assistant at Uppsala University Hospital is an exciting job where you meet people in many different situations. You will also become part of a skilled team consisting of doctors, nurses, other nursing assistants, paramedics, and pharmacists who support and help each other while you will also work independently. Here you can expect a varied job with challenging tasks.

Your Mission

As a nursing assistant, you will be responsible for patient care and perform medical technical procedures such as catheter placement and sample collection.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a nursing assistant or has completed the nursing program in semester 3 or semester 5 of the medical program, who with commitment and pride wants to take on the task of caring for people with acute medical treatment needs.

Your Competence

We seek someone who is meticulous and places extra focus on creating security for patients during their hospital stay and at discharge. You enjoy working both with and for people, you have a good demeanor and strong collaboration skills. You are innovative, action-oriented, responsible, flexible, and have a positive attitude. The ward often experiences a high patient flow as most patients come in acutely, so it is important that you like to be structured and efficient with the ability to lead work and can switch work pace when needed.

We Offer

We offer you a summer temporary position full-time (or part-time by agreement). Start date from June until the end of August. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, nights, and weekends. You need to be able to work at least 7 weeks during the period week 26 – week 33. The training week is not included in these weeks. Training will be offered at KTC if needed.
