About the position
We who work at the Blood Centers contribute every day to sick and injured people feeling better. In Stockholm's healthcare, about 100 liters of blood are used per day. Receiving blood is often a matter of life and death. The blood is given by voluntary unpaid donors, and we are responsible for taking care of the donor throughout their visit with us. They should feel informed with the best care, meet a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, feel safe and cared for by competent and friendly staff. Our guiding principles are Competence, Accessibility, Humanity, and Innovation. Interviewing and taking care of the donors who visit us are some of your main tasks. You will learn the rest on-site together with colleagues.
Work two evenings a week until 8:00 PM and also every third Saturday. The ad refers to temporary positions for parental leave and study leave.
We are looking for someone who
- is a naturally social person, with a pronounced service-oriented approach and mindset
- makes correct assessments and priorities. Balances complex information and various considerations and shows judgment in statements, actions, and decisions
- sees the whole and takes into account the bigger picture. Understands their role but considers the best for the entire operation in actions and decisions
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed nurse
- At least 2 years of experience in the profession
- Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Meritorious:
- Experience in venipuncture
