The Palliative Care Department in Lund is now looking for hourly employed nursing assistants who want to work with specialized palliative care, aimed at alleviating and preventing suffering in connection with severe illness. Patients are often, but far from always, at the end of life. More than half of the patients are admitted acutely via ASIH (Advanced Medical Care at Home), and all who are admitted are in need of specialized palliative inpatient care. Severe pain, anxiety, and infections are some common reasons for admission. After a period of treatment, some patients may return home.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for hourly employed nursing assistants for our palliative care department in Lund. Here you will be part of a caring and dedicated team. As an hourly employed nursing assistant, you will be booked for both planned and acute vacancies. With us, you work as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, chefs, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Sometimes even a therapy dog! The work is patient-centered on the floor, and the pace can be high, with many independent decisions but also with a lot of support from the team. If you are interested in learning and developing, both as a nursing assistant and as a person, you will thrive in our department.
Our department is characterized by a warm and positive climate with a good atmosphere, where everyone works together for a good working environment with the patient's best interests in focus. The work we offer you is both varied, stimulating, and educational.
We operate around the clock with shifts during the day, evening, and night.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and meet the Socialstyrelsen's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied according to previous or current program structures. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement.

If you do not have the proof, you may be employed as a nursing assistant on a temporary basis, pending the proof.

The management of Close Care and Health has existed since January 1, 2025. The management is responsible for grant-funded care activities within close care. This includes mobile teams and specialized palliative care, outpatient care within close care, emergency care within close care, 1177 by phone, as well as some region-wide functions. In addition, the management is responsible for the development and follow-up of the transition to close care in Region Skåne. The number of employees is expected to be around 1,000.
