The Infectious Diseases department provides specialized healthcare in the field of infectious diseases in Malmö and Lund. The operation includes both inpatient and outpatient services.

Infection Ward 3 in Malmö has 25 inpatient beds. We value a good care and work environment with strong collaboration among all parties in the ward, including patients, relatives, and staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In Infection Ward 3, we care for, investigate, and treat patients with various types of infectious diseases. Examples include sepsis, pneumonia, endocarditis, and tuberculosis. Many of the diagnoses fall under the infection protection law, and most patients admitted to us come in acutely.

As a nurse, you will work in a team with nursing assistants and doctors. The ward also includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, medical secretaries, social workers, and dietitians. Together with the team, you are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the basic and specific care required.

As we continuously work on professional development, we encourage you as an employee to be involved in the development of our operations. The ward holds regular training sessions in infectious diseases and other areas relevant to our work.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is a requirement. Previous experience in ward work and/or acute and infectious healthcare is an advantage for the position.

As a person, you have a positive attitude and are easy to collaborate with. It is important that you can plan and prioritize your work. You have a flexible approach and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. The work requires commitment and a good sense of service, so personal suitability is highly valued.
