You will work with the usual tasks of an operating room nurse.

You will plan the work pre-, intra-, and postoperatively together with the team consisting of doctors, anesthetists, intensive care nurses, operating room nurses, and nursing assistants.

About the workplace

The operating department at Hallands Hospital Kungsbacka is a day surgery unit. We work Monday to Friday and we have all public holidays off. We work daytime, one shift a week until 5:30 PM, and we finish at 1:00 PM on Fridays. We are about 30 employees consisting of nursing assistants, doctors, and ICU, anesthetic, and operating room nurses. The unit has its own UVA where patients come pre- and postoperatively.

The majority of patients go home the same day, and the patients are both adults and children from 8 years old. We have access to four inpatient beds Monday to Thursday in our ward. The unit has four operating rooms. We perform surgery in general surgery, urology, gynecology, ENT, and orthopedics, which makes it varied and stimulating. The unit also has its own sterile unit staffed by specialized personnel.

Your profile

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with specialized training in operating room care.

We are looking for someone who is flexible and can quickly adapt to the needs of the operation. You work patient-oriented and with good collaboration skills. You should be responsible, meticulous, and solution-oriented. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
