About the job and workplace

We are looking for a specialist physician with an interest in pain or a specialist physician with an additional specialty in pain relief.

If you are not already a pain physician, we wish that all our doctors will train in the additional specialty of Pain Relief so that the group can help each other and collectively have a high level of competence.

A specialist in pain relief is available in the unit to provide guidance in the ST-block pain.

The Pain Clinic, as a specialist care unit, has both pain treatment and pain rehabilitation under the same roof, where we see great advantages in being able to work closely together based on the patient's needs.

We offer consultations for patient-responsible doctors within primary care and specialist care and time-limited treatments for patients with complex pain problems, both acute, cancer-related, and chronic pain. Within the treatment part, we continuously develop our arsenal of treatment options, and pain rehabilitation is offered when primary care has exhausted its resources. The assignment also includes increasing competence in pain and pain treatment for other operations in Region Halland.

As a doctor at our clinic, you work both in treatment and rehabilitation and are part of our multimodal team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, and nurses. We work patient-centered based on a bio-psycho-social approach to pain.

As a doctor, you will be an important part of developing the operation together with the rest of the team.

The position is full-time, but with the possibility of part-time work. Working hours are during the day on weekdays.

The employment is at the Rehabilitation Clinic, Halland Hospital, located in Varberg. Consultations may also occur at the hospitals in Kungsbacka or Halmstad.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist physician in pain relief or a specialist in another patient-related discipline suitable for the position. It is an advantage if you are a specialist in rehabilitation medicine and have an interest in training in the additional specialty of Pain Relief, if you do not already have it.

It is important that you are confident in your role as a doctor, but also in your leadership. You are an engaged and responsible person who easily adapts to new circumstances. You are attentive and communicate well and value collegial cooperation highly. For us to be a well-functioning and flexible team, commitment and collaboration skills are required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
