Habilitation Center Södertälje Child Seeks Occupational Therapist
Habilitation Center Södertälje Child is part of Habilitation & Health, which belongs to the Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO) within Region Stockholm.
We provide services to children aged 0-17 with permanent disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, and multiple disabilities.

We are now looking for an occupational therapist, preferably with experience in autism spectrum disorders but also intellectual disabilities and movement disabilities. You will work in an interesting and broad field and collaborate cross-professionally in a team together with occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, special educators, speech therapists, and physiotherapists. Our clinic serves children living in Södertälje, Nykvarn, and Salem. We are located in large and bright premises, centrally in Södertälje.
About the position:
The tasks consist of a wide range of occupational therapy interventions. Common tasks include providing support regarding routines and structure, hygiene, sleep, and energy balance. Prescription and follow-up of assistive devices, including technological aids in the area of cognitive support, are also common. The role includes spreading knowledge to parents and networks about support for the patient to manage their daily activities. If necessary, consultation and knowledge transfer to staff in the individual's immediate environment may be relevant. Our patients often have complex needs where collaboration is required, not only within the team but also with care neighbors, municipal operations, and other authorities. The tasks are varied and require flexibility.

About you:
We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience in autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and movement disabilities. You are a proactive person who is engaged in finding solutions based on the patient's focus. You enjoy working independently as well as in a team and take personal responsibility for planning, developing, and driving patient work forward in a structured manner. You have good computer skills. With us, you need to be able to collaborate and be driven by collegial learning as you work closely with other professional categories in your unit. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Habilitation & Health is part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO) within Region Stockholm. The position will be filled on the condition that it does not need to be allocated for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- background checks are applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
