We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant and have knowledge and interest in working with individuals who have memory disorders (dementia).

Start date: Immediately

Working hours: 15:00-22:00

Schedule: 84.12% (approximately 19 shifts over four weeks, both weekdays and weekends). The organization has chosen not to have a 100% position as it would otherwise result in too many shifts per month for the employee, contributing to a better work environment.

Please note that we do not approve you working at more workplaces than this during your employment.

Education requirements: qualified nursing assistant with a passing Swedish grade of 1500 points

Salary: based on the organization's collective agreement

Probationary employment applies for 6 months from the date of employment according to the collective agreement

To work in the organization, it is advantageous if you:

-have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various dementia diseases or mental health issues

-have worked for a longer period in home care or nursing homes

-can speak and write Swedish very well as you will be visiting clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you will need to document in journals and read instructions.

-are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your work approach

-can handle stress and plan and structure your work

-have good local knowledge in inner Stockholm as you will be traveling via public transport or walking

Job responsibilities

You will follow a service schedule and visit clients in their own homes to perform the services that have been granted according to the assistance decision. This includes taking care of general hygiene and personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, cooking, maintaining the home, and social interaction. We work a lot with motivation to perform the services and use various working methods as aids.

Who are we

Stockholm's Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that provides services in the clients' own homes. The organization also offers escort services, respite care, and housing support.

The organization primarily targets clients with varying degrees of dementia, mental health issues, disabilities, and substance abuse problems. In the evenings, we mainly have clients with dementia diseases visiting according to the assistance decision.

We work with the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out of each client visit using their mobile phones, NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.

Where are we located and how do you get around to the clients

We have clients in 8 different districts, and you will start and end each shift from Södermalm where we have our office, regardless of which district you are in during the day. You will get around to the clients using public transport or by walking (the organization does not have cars). An SL card is a requirement for this position.
