Care Assistant at Solvändan Group Home in Rimbo

About the Position

Your role as a care assistant is varied and based on each resident's individual needs, conditions, and wishes. You will work with both care and service tasks, but as a care assistant, the emphasis of your role is on performing delegated health and medical tasks. We have eight permanent staff supported by a large number of substitutes who together create a good living environment for our residents. The position involves varying working hours, and shifts may be scheduled at any time of the day, including sleeping on-call duties.

Your tasks include:

• Providing individual support and care based on the resident's needs.
• Performing delegated medical tasks, such as medication management, wound care, catheter management, and monitoring of temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Documentation in journal systems and active participation in care and implementation plans.
• Follow-up and reporting of changes in health status or care needs.

About You

For this position, you need:

• Care assistant education or other equivalent training.
• Experience in providing care services.
• Good digital skills, including experience working with journal systems and Office programs.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
• A valid driver's license and driving experience.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience and in-depth knowledge of LSS.
• Knowledge of low-arousal approaches.

You are confident in your professional role, have good collaboration skills, and can work well both independently and in a team. You are structured, stable, and have an empathetic approach. For our residents, you are, in addition to being a support based on your professional role, a service-oriented and creative person who sees the individual and creates safety.

Solvändan group home is located in Rimbo, a town with good commuting opportunities to both Norrtälje and Stockholm. Here, people with disabilities live in their own apartments with access to shared spaces. We work in teams with care assistants, support assistants, and a unit manager, and have close cooperation with health and medical care.
