Job Description
We are nearly 300 employees in the region stretching from Gävle all the way up to Kiruna. We deliver tomorrow's infrastructure solutions in road, street, and land design, as well as other community-related specialist competencies to our clients. For the Umeå section, with colleagues in Skellefteå, Örnsköldsvik, Lycksele, and Dorotea, we are now looking for a new project manager in Infrastructure.
As a Project Manager, you will work as a leader of technical managers and designers within assignments focused on roads, railways, and land. These types of assignments are often multidisciplinary, with several participating technical areas; e.g., within road, water, geo, and environment. You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, progress, and management within the assignment. Your clients include both the Swedish Transport Administration and industries, as well as municipalities or private actors in both large and small projects.
You will be part of a technically strong group with high competence and an exciting mix of experience and background.
You will be based in one of our offices in Umeå or Örnsköldsvik.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least five years of experience as a project manager or project leader in road and construction.
- Has led projects of various sizes – preferably with multidisciplinary content.
- Is comfortable in client dialogue and enjoys a business-oriented responsibility.
- Has a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Additional Information
At AFRY, you will have access to nearly 18,000 colleagues who are highly skilled in their specialist areas, and we hope that you will learn as much from us as we will from you. We want our employees to thrive and develop through clear competency development programs tailored to each individual.
We also know that employees who feel good, both physically and mentally, are the most important success factor. Therefore, we are committed to a good working environment and a balance between work and leisure. We want to be your ideal employer, regardless of your life stage, and we understand the importance of a functioning whole. For all our employees, we offer a modern workplace in a global context with both forward-thinking and security.
