We are a large group that enjoys working together. Here we work in teams, where nurses and nursing assistants share responsibility for a group of patients. We work interprofessionally to provide the best possible care and experience for the child and family during their time with us.

The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Department 2 is part of the acute/infection area. The department has 14 beds, of which two are intermediate care beds. Our primary focus is on infectious diseases, but we also care for children and adolescents with several other acute conditions. We also have an elective flow consisting of children in need of surgery for scoliosis. Our lengths of stay are often short, and we have a very clear seasonal variation.

Our intermediate care includes sick children whose medical and nursing needs cannot be met on a regular ward but for whom there is no medical indication for intensive care. There is always staff present in the intermediate care area. We have a close collaboration with both the neonatal and intensive care units (ICU).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want a developing and rewarding job in a good working climate? We now welcome a nursing assistant or pediatric nurse to our department!

Together with a nurse, you will care for either two children in intermediate care or six children on the ward. The care you provide to children and parents will likely stay with them for the rest of their lives and will influence their view of healthcare. You will provide excellent care to the children by being curious, inventive, and empathetic.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. It is an advantage if you have experience working in pediatric healthcare.
