Värmdö is the meeting place of the archipelago with a unique combination of the tranquil beauty of nature and a more urban lifestyle. Our mission is not one but many: schools, real estate, social services, harbors, healthcare, libraries, care, and many more. We strive for all Värmdö residents to live a rich and free life. We want to be the ones who enable the dream of a vibrant, safe environment for homes, families, and businesses.

To succeed fully, we must have diverse competencies and work together for a common and trusting work culture, built on brave, responsible employees who understand the needs and wishes of the residents.

Our Operations

Gustavsgården is a residence for the elderly with significant care needs.

The residence consists of three units with a total of 101 apartments. Each resident has a contact person in the staff group who can assist the resident in various respects. The focus of our operations is on the core values: competence, flexibility, security, and clarity.

With us, you will work with something of the most valuable there is, making everyday life better for our elderly citizens. You will come to an organization that is built on respect for people's self-determination and integrity, and you will help our residents achieve freedom in their daily lives. We work from a value base where presence is important and where we see and listen to the people we meet.

Your Mission

The role of a Nursing Assistant at Gustavsgården means that you are responsible for ensuring that our residents receive all the care and support that makes their everyday life safe, secure, and meaningful. We work based on person-centered care where we listen to the resident's own perception of their health and the needs that are important to fulfill. We offer residents and relatives the opportunity to participate in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of care and support efforts. As a nursing assistant, you will collaborate daily with nurses, colleagues, paramedics, and group leaders in daily work.

Your work will also include daily documentation of tasks in the journal system regarding the interventions you have performed and the residents' health status.

With us, you will meet people who need a little extra care, patience, and security every day. We are looking for someone with special expertise in dementia who wants to make a difference through a person-centered approach. You have the ability to see the whole person behind the illness, interpret small signals, create calm, and build trust. You are driven to contribute to meaningful days and a dignified everyday life for our residents. Here, you will work in a team where knowledge, commitment, and heart go hand in hand. Together, we create an environment where both residents and employees feel seen and valued.

Your Experience

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with the right to use the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You will be employed at Gustavsgården and work on a schedule during days, evenings, and weekends. Documentation and reporting are important parts of your daily work, so it is essential that you master the Swedish language very well in both speech and writing and have good computer skills. Experience and familiarity with IBIC and multi-sick elderly people are advantageous.

As a person, you are flexible, cheerful, curious, and have a strong commitment to our elderly and a desire to develop and learn more. At times, we have a high pace, and therefore, it is required that you are stress-resistant, can handle rapid changes, and can easily adapt and prioritize your work accordingly. You are used to working in teams and have good collaboration skills, as well as the courage to make independent decisions and work autonomously based on laws and guidelines.

Furthermore, you should have an exemplary demeanor and an interest in creating and maintaining good relationships with residents, relatives, and future colleagues. You see opportunities instead of obstacles, always putting our residents at the center.
