Ängelholm Hospital has a medical emergency department that works closely with the Evening and Weekend Clinic and primary care departments with different specialties. The emergency department is open from 08:00 to 20:00 every day. To meet the residents' needs for more accessible care, Region Skåne started a new form of care over a year ago, and since then the emergency department has been part of the management of Close Care and Health, which is under construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of nursing assistant in the emergency department, your tasks will involve care and treatment of acutely ill patients. All patients seeking care at the Emergency Department are assessed and prioritized based on their symptoms, a process called triage. We work in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and medical secretaries.

The emergency department also has a close and appreciated collaboration with the Evening and Weekend Clinic, which is tasked with meeting citizens' needs for unplanned primary care in the evenings and on weekends. As a nursing assistant, you will also be involved in this care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an engaged nursing assistant with a strong interest in emergency care. It is important to us that you want to work here! Since we are an organization with many different points of contact and sub-departments, you need to be flexible to meet a varied workload. We also want you to share our values regarding a patient-focused approach and a joy in the profession of nursing assistant, as well as being drawn to internal medicine and our type of smaller emergency department. With us, you will find an exciting and developing organization in change, and therefore we hope you have good collaboration skills and are curious and willing to learn new things. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Regarding formal requirements, we welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures, preferably with a focus on healthcare/emergency care. Additionally, you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We have a close collaboration with primary care, so it is an advantage if you have knowledge of the medical record systems Melior and PMO. Previous experience working in an emergency department is considered highly meritorious for the position.
