Support Assistant Wanted for Day Activities in Lund

About Us

We are looking for support assistants for our units within daily activities. In these units, we work closely with users and support individuals in activities tailored to each person's specific needs. We offer our participants both sensory-stimulating and work-like activities, with one of the units also running a business-oriented operation. One of the units has activities for individuals with congenital deafblindness and another for the deaf, where all communication is conducted in sign language.

Our participants have varying support needs, and there are situations with challenging behavior, including care tasks. The staff density in the units is high, and in some areas, we work with double staffing. It is important that you have flexibility and a solution-focused mindset as the work may require you to cover different groups as needed.

About the Role and Responsibilities

If you have knowledge and interest in working with deafblind individuals, or if you have previous experience in business or service work, that is an advantage. We are also looking for those with experience and interest in working with users with autism, intellectual disabilities, and greater care needs.

Your responsibilities will also include establishing and designing implementation plans, documenting, and contributing to maintaining a high quality in the operations.

We are looking for someone who is positive, innovative, and has the ability to see the development and potential of the users. Significant emphasis is placed on your experience with this target group and your knowledge of low-arousal approaches.

We work to ensure that our users have the opportunity to be as independent as possible and live the life they desire. Therefore, you need to have leadership skills, be curious, and have the ability to listen to our users.

Working Hours

As a support assistant within daily activities, you will work Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00.

Qualifications

• Approved grades from the health and care program, child and leisure program, social sciences/behavior, or other post-secondary education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience and familiarity with working with challenging behavior.
• Experience and familiarity with care work.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• A driver's license is required for certain units.
